Lead Pastor - Jared Sonnenberg
Pastor Jared is a proud husband, dad, and 'papa'! He, his wife, Rita, and their family, were called to the LeRoy Church in November of 2018. He is an Ordained Minister with standing in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Pastor Jared is also a Board Certified Mental Health Coach-Counselor with the American Association of Christian Counselors. In addition to pastoring the LeRoy Church, he is active in the community, and since 2010, has proudly served as Chaplain for the Sterling Fire & Police Departments, the Logan County Sheriff's Office, and starting in Sept of 2025, as Chaplain for the ATF (Denver Field Division). He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Police & Fire Chaplains - and is the Northeast Colorado Regional Coordinator for RMPFC. Jared is a partner at Sonnenberg Agency, LLC. He works with the Behavioral Health Division of Northeast Colorado Family Medicine, P.C. as a coaching-counselor - leading several evening counseling sessions each week. Pastor Jared is also a proud Special Olympics Coach for basketball and soccer for the Sterling Comets.
Associate Lay Pastor - Randy Kirkwood
Pastor Randy is a proud husband and dad, and has been an active servant leader in both the LeRoy Community Church (for many years) and the United Church of Crook. At the LeRoy Community Church, we are very fortunate to have him fulfill his ministerial calling as our Associate Pastor. Pastor Randy is active in the community with farming, ranching and coaching both the Fleming Boys and Girls High School Basketball Teams as their Head Coach. Pastor Randy also serves the community as a member of several different Boards. He is currently the President of the Premier Farm Credit Board.
